  • Tuesday, May 15: Major change to PsycINFO, ProQuest, and more. Your help needed!

    On Tuesday, May 15, 36 ProQuest, CSA and selected Chadwyck Healey databases will migrate to  a uniform and upgraded ProQuest platform.  For a complete list of databases that will migrate, see http://bit.ly/9m8cen.

    Please test the new platform.  Problems?  Submit an Inform:  Databases?Research Databases.  You may login with a test password prior to May 15.  If you no longer have your test account information, please see a transition team member.

    Targets in SFX, database A-Z links, and links in CampusGuides will be changed on May 15.  If you detect any  issues, please submit an Inform.

  • What: Library Staff Training on New ProQuest-provided Database Interface

    When: May 22, 10-11:30 or May 23, 1:30-3:00

    Where: 4th floor classroom in Central

    The ProQuest interface changes started May 15th. Beth Reiten from ProQuest will provide training for library staff and student workers on Tuesday, May 22, 10-11:30 and Wednesday, May 23, 1:30-3:00. So we know how many people to expect, please register for the session(s) you plan to attend (link below).

    The training session will have the following two-part format.  Participants are welcome to attend either or both parts of these sessions.

    §  Introduction to ProQuest Interface, 45 mins.  ? This part will focus on searching (both basic and advanced) and working with our search results (faceted search options, document preview and more).

    §  Break, 15 mins.

    §  My Research function, 30 mins. ? This part will look at My Research and how you can use it to save and organize search strategies and references, create and save RSS feeds, email alerts, tags and shared lists, and more.
