General Information
The Library Annex is the off-site, environmentally controlled, library storage facility for Vanderbilt University. Two miles from campus, it houses 575,000 less frequently used or fragile books, cassettes, long-playing record albums, microcards, and microfiche. Materials are arranged by Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress, "Shelve by title", and Superintendent of Documents classifications. Holdings from the Central, Divinity, Education, Government Information, Management, Music, and the Science/Engineering libraries are intershelved. Law, Special Collections and University archives materials are separately stored. ACORN, the integrated on-line catalog, displays bibliographic, call number, and current circulation information for all these materials.
