The Preservation Team binds, labels, and repairs library materials for Resource Services customer libraries. Staff are responsible for selecting appropriate binding methods for materials sent to the bindery as well as maintaining a binding database. Staff generate spine labels for monograph, unbound serials, and non-book items. Repair lab staff treat items from all Heard libraries, including Eskind Biomedical and Law. Treatments range from simple page tip-ins to spine replacements to clamshell boxes. High quality physical processing is a top priority for all team members. The team is available to assist you in deciding what kind of preservation treatment is most appropriate for your library materials. Contact appropriate individuals below with specific questions.
