This is the home page of the Vanderbilt University Cataloging Manual. This manual is intended to be used both by new catalogers in their training and by experienced catalogers for reference purposes. From this page the cataloger may link to the web pages on the left that form the sections of the manual, plus several appendices. The "Quick links" listed above link to certain heavily used resources by cataloger.
This manual is still very much a work in progress as of November 28, 2006.
