Create a committee on the Center of Academic Life drawn from key administrators of academic services on campus, ie. The Center for Teaching, The Learning Center, The Writing Center, the University Press.

The purpose of this group will be to oversee the development of a virtual organization whose mission will be to provide seamless academic support service to students and faculty at Vanderbilt.

Create a Learning Commons

Summer 2006

Appoint a project team to design the Learning Center to be housed on the 6^th level of the Central Library. Plans should include needed equipment, software, staffing, and programs.
