As a result of the test an Electronic
Resources Center is being added to the Product Centers
Exempt refers to staff not required to
work within the federal work week regulations (e.g. professionals). Blue represents all staff time and the
magenta only the time of Exempt staff.
You can see the centers which have a higher proportion of Exempt staff
in this comparison, as well as the overall distribution of staff time at the
Vanderbilt University Library
This slide shows the traditional TS
centers and shows the amount of time being spent at these activities outside
TS. It’s interesting that more time is
spent outside of TS doing Vol. Preparation than in TS. You can sort for any organizational units
and see specifically which units are doing what.
This slide demonstrates the difference
between time and costs which reflects levels of staff involved and thus
salaries paid
This shows that the three Overhead
Centers (Administrative& Support Services, Leave and Automation &
Systems) combined represent 46% of all costs.
This shows how Product Center costs
increase when the Overhead Center costs (Admin & SS, Leave, Auto &
Systems) are spread to the Product Centers.
