Cataloging and Authorities Advisory Group

Purpose of the Group:

  1. To identify the need for and establish system-wide standards and practices in support of bibliographic access in ACORN.
  2. To stay informed of the policies and procedures adopted by the cataloging operations of the various libraries and Technical Services.
  3. To discuss cataloging and authorities problems and share ideas and solutions.
  4. To offer advice to the University Librarian and Library Management Council on issues pertaining to cataloging, bibliographic access through ACORN, and authorities.
  5. To monitor as appropriate the need for implementation planning, training, or follow-up related to new enhancements and releases of UNICORN software. To offer suggestions for enhancements to the UNICORN Users Groups..
