
Support for Existing Software
The new environment will continue to support all applications that we previously used under
Windows 3.1. Programs that we have tested in the new environment include:
- Windows Calendar. Although a calendar application is not inculded in Windows NT, the Calendar
from Windows 3.1 is supported. We will be able to provide access to previously created calendars
such as those used to schedule the library's various classrooms and training facilities.
- Windows Cardfile. Similarly, any cardfiles created under the Windows 3.1 cardfile can be accessed
under Windows NT.
- SIRSI Unicorn. This application will continue to be loaded on the hard drive of all library computers.
- Microsoft Word: Version 2,0, Version 6.0
- Microsoft Excel: Version 4.0, 5.0
- Microsoft Access: Version 2.0
