The Jean and Alexander Heard Library
Computer Inventory Checklist

The Library Technology Team of Resource Services asks all library staff to help gather information relating to the inventory of computers in the Library. We have installed a large number of computers in the last few months and need to be sure that our records are complete. We have also added a new "Library ID Tag" to each computer. Since the University no longer places its property tags on computers, we devised this tag to uniquely identify each piece of equipment.

We know that in some cases it will be hard to see some of the serial and model numbers. Please do the best you can to get these numbers without disrupting your equipment. If you are physically unable to get to these numbers, just write a note in the comment box. Some of the computers have the serial number and model number placed quite inconveniently on the bottom of the unit. Especially if you have a large monitor on top of the computer, we realize that this may be impossible for you to deal with. In these cases, just let us know and we will provide assistance in getting these numbers.

Feel free to call the Library Technology office if you have questions or need assistance, or send mail to NetFix.
