Library Technology implemented the Unicorn 99.2 upgrade to Acorn on the morning of Monday, July 26th.
This new version includes a number of fixes to problems that had been previously reported to SIRSI. It also includes major changes to the Serials functions of the system.
We have found that for the processing of Serials, the InfoVIEW client does not operate adequately well with this new version of Unicorn. A task force has been set up to deal with this issue. They have begun the process of switching library staff who work with processing serials to the WorkFlows clients.
With this new version of Unicorn, we have also implemented a revised set of forms and request features. These changes are the result of the work of the "Requests Task Force" of the Information Services Advisory Group.
Please direct any questions or concerns about this upgrade to Acorn to Marshall.
