CATALOGING PREVIOUSLY INVD'D MATERIAL
Procedures for cataloging material that has been sent to the stacks as part of the ongoing INVD project.
Characteristics of INVD records:
- This material will have a P at the end of the call number (for "Provisional").
- It will have the date cataloged filled in at the time of being INVD'd in order for the record to appear on the unauthorized lists.
- There will be an "invd" or "invdu" at the end of the 951 field.
TO CATALOG:
- Make all editing changes needed.
- Remove the "P" from the call number.
- Add appropriate recataloging codes and initials in the 951 field.
DO NOT change the date cataloged. The book has already been counted as a new title at the time of INVD. Changing the date would inflate our statistics.
