Goals for 2000/2001 (Highlights):
The teams of Technical Services include Order Services, Cataloging, Preservation, and Resource Services Maintenance. The mission of Resource Services, of which we are a part, is to expedite and enhance information access for the university community. The following two goals can be considered Technical Services’ driving force during 2000/2001.
- Efficiently acquire, accurately describe, and carefully preserve library materials.
- Regularly evaluate existing services and procedures and make changes when warranted, while maintaining or improving productivity.
Our effectiveness is continually monitored through participation in the Resource Services Cost Study analysis of our work activities.
With the above goals in mind, the list below summarizes some of the activities and accomplishments of Technical Services in 2000/2001. These activities and accomplishments have been broken into four groups: Innovations, Projects, Changes, and Personnel.
