Videos purchased by the Learning Resource Center are usually cataloged by the Media Center Staff. The Media Center searches for an OCLC record and copies the information into Acorn. When this process is followed, there is no Resource Services involvement in the cataloging of these videos When no OCLC record can be found, the video is sent to the Cataloging and Authorities Team for cataloging.
Catalog the LRC videos as you would any other video, following the guidelines in the non-book tables for Central videos. The only difference is that you need to add a note indicating that the video is a gift of LRC.The Media Center will include a note attached to LRC videos from now on that will identify them as such. If the video contains information that it was purchased by LRC, add the following note to the bibliographic record:
953:: Gift of LRC
