Set Properties for Add Title

The Add Title Wizard allows you to select whether you wish to create a copy at the point of creating a new title (when creating a Provisional Record), or not.

You may access your Properties for the Add Title Wizard in one of two ways:

When you have the Properties window open, under "show these values", you can choose to display the Add Title Wizard's Properties window "Always" or "Only Upon Wizard Startup":

Click Always to always display the Set Properties windows as the first step of the wizard.
Click Never if you do not want the Set Properties window to appear when you access the wizard (not recommended).
Click Only Upon Wizard Startup to only display the Set Properties window the first time you access the wizard, until you end the session or log off.

OR,

Before you launch the Wizard, Right Click over the Add Title Wizard icon, and click on Properties...

 

THEN, under Title/Bibliographic defaults: Add copy when creating title: be sure box is UN-checked (empty) when creating provisional records for orders. When you create a title, no copy will be created. (This will allow the receiver to use Load Order to create the item upon receipt.)

Be sure box is checked when creating provisional records for gifts, blanket orders, or other books-in-hand. When you create a title, a copy will be created.
