Bookplates

Orders placed using special restricted funds sometimes have corresponding bookplates. At the point of creating the record for these orders, the verifier enters that information in the 952.

For some special funds, bookplates have been specially designed. OS currently has the following bookplates on hand:

• Ann Jennalie Cook Library Acquisition Fund for Shakespeare Studies
• Helguera Colombiana Fund (not the same as the Helguera GIFT bookplate)
• Hunt Family Book Fund
• John W. Poindexter Book Acquisition Fund
• The Wild Bunch Acquisitions Fund

At the point of receipt, the receiver will clip these bookplates inside the piece. The bookplates are in the OS reference room. Marking will attach the bookplate during processing.

For other funds, Marking creates individual bookplates when the materials arrive in Marking. At the point of receipt of these materials, the receiver will add a flag to the piece to indicate to Marking which bookplate is to be attached.
