1. Log into network.
2. Open Novell window.
3. Click (open) on Acorn.
4. In Acorn; click (open) on the Icon discharge/checkin.
5. Scan barcode(s) (books) in sequential order continuously until it reads the library name itself in the area that is titled Route/Transit. The book(s) is now discharged.
6. Continue to scan barcode(s) on books until you have discharged one book or a complete truck.
7. Once you have discharged all the book(s) or truck(s); sort the books according to libraries:
A. Arts, Central, Reference, Spec.Coll. (V.Coll. & P. Coll.) and Government books are sorted together; individually or a whole truck. After sorting; Arts and Spec.Coll. books are counted individually (two separate counts) for monthly statistics. Central, Reference and Government books are counted together for monthly statistics. Central, Arts and Reference books are delivered to Central Circulation and Special Collection books are delivered to Special Collection by someone on the Binding and Marking Team.
B. Education books are sorted together. After sorting they are counted for monthly statistics. Education books are boxed and delivered by the mailroom messenger to Education Library.
C. Science and Engineering books are sorted and counted individually ( two separate counts) for monthly statistics. Science and Engineering books are boxed together and delivered to the Science library by the mailroom messenger.
D. Management books are sorted together. After sorting they are counted for monthly statistics. Management books are boxed and delivered by the mailroom messenger to the Management Library.E. Divinity books are sorted together. After sorting they are counted for monthly statistics. Divinity books are taken to Divinity by someone on the Binding and Marking Team.
F. Youth books are sorted together. After sorting they are counted for monthly statistics. Youth books are boxed and delivered by the mailroom messenger to Education Library (Youth Collection is part of the Education Library).
