1.Check all items sent or brought to Book Repair to see if they are charged
to Book Repair.
· Log in Acorn.
· Click on function key 9 (display item).
· Type or scan the barcode.
· Click on checkouts tab in the bib record, it will display the location
item charged to.
2. If not, charge the items to Book Repair.
· Log in Acorn
· Click on function key 5 (charge item).
· Type in the user ID: 373782
· Type or scan the barcode.
· Override it with the password when Acorn doesn't take the barcode.
· Move on to the next barcode.
3. Before the items leave the lab, discharge them.
· Log in Acorn.
· Click on function key 6 (discharge item).
· Type or scan the barcode
· Move on to the next barcode.
4. If items are ready for Marking, Binding or Cataloging, they don't need
to be discharged.
5. Remind Cataloging Staff to charge the item to themselves.
6. For monthly shipment to Marking, the following steps should be completed
in Acorn.
· Rebarcode the item if necessary.
· Edit the call number
· Update the comments field.
· Charge all the books to Marking. User ID is 215062.
7. Items from Law or Medical library are not sent to Marking. Discharge and
send them back to the library.
