From Cen. Periodicals
1. Treat Periodical items are rush. Try to return them within a week upon receiving.
2. Exception: item treatment is wrapper box.
3. Inspect the item and decide the treatment(s).
4. Use a fake barcode to create a record in Access and generate a job ticket.
5. Hand deliver the item back to Periodicals when repair completed.
From Cen. Reference and Government Documents
1. Treat reference items are rush. Try to return them within a week upon receiving.
2. Exception: item treatment is wrapper box.
3. Inspect the item and decide the treatment(s).
4. If the item doesn't have barcode, use a fake one to create a record in Access.
5. Generate a job ticket.
6. When repair completed send it to Marking.
From Special Collections
1. Discuss the treatment(s) decisions with Special Collections staff.
2. Mainly the treatments will be enclosures. DO NOT repair actual item unless
have specific instructions from Special Collectioins.
3. Most of the items from Special Collections do not have barcode number. The
fake barcode will be use to generate the record and the job ticket.
4. Special Collections does not want title, barcode or call number on the enclosure
box.
5. Hand deliver the item back to Special Collections when repair completed.
From Baudelaire Center
1. Discuss the treatment(s) decision with Bauderlaire Center staff.
2. Treat as Special Collections item unless otherwise instructed.
3. If barcode provided with the item, use it to generate the record and job
ticket. If not, use the fake one.
4. Attach the title and call number which are generated in the lab using Word
and the barcode if provided. Do NOT attach anything on the actual item.
5. Hand deliver the item back to Baudelaire Center when repair completed.
