1. After the wrapper order is received, fold boxes and place the items into boxes according to the order they are measured. Match job ticket number with number on the box.
2. Leave all the paper work with the item. DO NOT throw away any paper work.
3. If the box does not fit the book, check for a measuring error or an input error. Fix the error and resend it for the next order. Contact the vender if they made the error and ask them to resend the box at no extra charge.
4. Send the invoice to Pat Johnson if all okay.
5. After the boxes are folded, for Central, Peabody, Divinity and Science library materials:
a. rebarcode the items if necessary, one on the box and two to replace the originals on the item.
b. fragile stamp, attach title label and glue in the book plate if provided.
c. edit the item record to fix the call number field and then charge the items to Marking.
6. If there are several periodical issues in a single box, put one barcode on the back of the last issue, one on the back of the box, and toss the other one.
7. For the items that Cen. bibliographers decided to transfer to the Annex, fragile stamp, attach title label and glue in the book plate if provided. Discharge and return them to Janet Thompson.
8. For Law Library materials, fragile stamp and attach title labels to the items. Box them and return them to Linda Jones at the Law Library.
9. For Special Collections materials, only attach title labels to the boxes. DO NOT fragile stamp or attach any barcodes, even if provided. Then give them to Alla for special labeling.
10. For Baudelaire materials, attach title labels. DO NOT fragile stamp. If barcode provided, attach one on the back of the box, one on the top of the back of the flag and toss the other one. DO NOT attach barcode directly to materials. Return them to Yvonne Boyer.
11. For Government Information materials, attach the title label to the box. If barcode provided, attach one on the back of the box and two to replace the originals on the item. Once the box is barcoded, charge it to Marking for labeling. If materials don’t have barcode, return them to Teri Bante in Gov't Info.
12. Procedures for special projects may vary.
