Staff Development Coordinating Committee

During January the committee discussed membership, rotation of membership, and chairmanship of the committee. A new member will be added in February and July to take Elaine Goleski’s and Sherre Harrington’s places respectively. Mary Beth will continue to serve as chair until July, when a new chair will be selected. Membership on the committee is two years; the Personnel Officer serves ex officio. The new member of the committee is Brent Tenpenny.

The committee continued discussion of an awards program for staff. Once the program is established a spin-off committee will probably be needed to continue the program.

The committee continued to monitor the NT Training program. It was determined that committee members would check out some commercial technology training vendors for complimentary classes. It is generally thought that the LTT isn’t staffed at a level to be able to provide all of the technology training needs. If we are able to find companies that are good, we may be able to get a price break because of volume.
